Chet's 4th Birthday

Whoa!  I can't believe he turned four!  He has the disadvantage, like I do, of having his birthday near Christmas.  And, during NFL playoffs!  I picked his party date one month in advance and, as luck would have it, the Packers were playing during his party.  So, we invited families so the adults could watch the game.

We invited 8 kids and he initially decided he wanted a Spider man party.  Well, as the day got closer and I asked what kind of cake he wanted, he declared "Batman".  Then,  a few days later, it was "Superman".  Well, thank goodness for pinterest, I fount the perfect compromise!  Uncle Mike's Bakery delivered! And, I think we will be eating cake until his next birthday!!!

I also got a lot of great ideas on pinterest for decorating.  But, note-to-self:  do not use scotch tape for hanging decorations.  I put the decorations up the day before with scotch tape and they All.Fell.Down!  After Mass, I made a made dash to Home Depot and bought four different types of tape.  Double sided tape was the key!!!

Our Chet is such combination of personalities!  He is wild and rambunctious but yet extremely sensitive and a total momma's boy!  He is really starting to test his boundaries!  Some of the phrases that have recently come out of his mouth "I know all of that so you don't need to tell me!" and "you say 'no' but I will do it anyway!".  "You are not the boss of me, Jesus is!"

He likes bugging his sister, but then in the next moment, he is playing so well with her!

Favorite Color:  Orange

Favorite TV show:  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Favorite Game:  Air Hockey

Favorite book:  StarWars Rebels

Favorite thing to do outside:  Play in the snow and ride his scooter

What he wants to be when he grows up:  Animal doctor

Favorite food:  Grapes and Quesidillas and Chicken Nuggets

He is still such a picky eater and meals can sometimes take over an hour!!  I think we have learned he is just not a breakfast person!

He does not like to be messy and likes order to everything (food can not mix on his plate).

He does not like bugs.

His speech has come around so much in the past 6 months!   He is still in speech class through our school district's special education department and he goes twice a week.  We love his speech therapist and are so grateful for her!
